Who the agreement is with
“Zempo”, “we” and “us” mean the company that runs Zempo.
These terms apply from the date shown above. When you accept them in the app we record the version you accepted. Reading or closing this page does not record acceptance.
The Privacy Policy explains personal-information processing. The Cookie Policy explains browser storage and optional choices. Agreeing to service terms is not consent to optional marketing or analytics.
Your account
You must be at least 18 and have the legal capacity required in your jurisdiction to enter this agreement. A lower age of consent for personal-data processing is not permission to enter a paid service contract.
Provide accurate account details, keep them current and protect your sign-in and recovery credentials. Do not share personal sign-ins; use supported invitations and roles. Tell us promptly about suspected unauthorised access. You are not automatically liable for every unauthorised action regardless of its cause.
If you act for an organisation or another person, you must have the necessary authority. An organisation’s separate written agreement may set additional service conditions and will identify any terms it replaces.
What the service does
Zempo provides software for organising information you supply, including spending, budgets, goals and recorded investments. Features, limits and availability depend on the plan and what is actually offered when you sign up. Coming-soon features are not included until expressly made available.
Statements are uploaded by you. Zempo does not connect to your bank or broker to execute transactions, hold funds or assets, operate an investment fund or provide a bank account. Separate providers are responsible for their own services under their own terms.
We may maintain and improve the service. Material reductions to paid features require appropriate notice and any cancellation, refund or other remedy required by law or the applicable agreement.
Check records and results
Statement extraction, AI output, categories, market information, exchange rates, calculations and projections can be incomplete, delayed or incorrect. Review and correct records against the original source before using them for a decision, filing or payment.
Investment tracking records information; it is not trading or a valuation certificate. Currency conversions and illustrations are estimates based on the inputs and rates used, not a guarantee of an amount you can receive.
Keep original statements and independent copies of important documents. These responsibilities do not remove our duty to provide the service with any care and skill required by law.
Not financial or legal advice
Zempo’s general information and tools are not personalised financial, investment, tax or legal advice, an offer of a financial product, or a promise of savings, returns or any other outcome. Obtain appropriately qualified advice for your circumstances when needed.
Organising estate information or preparing a document does not establish that a will, nomination or other legal document is valid or enforceable. Execution, witnessing, registration, inheritance and guardianship requirements depend on the applicable law and your circumstances.
These descriptions do not determine regulatory status by themselves. The actual service and the law that applies do.
Will Writer
The Will Writer is a drafting tool. It turns the instructions you type into a will document you can print, sign and, where required, register. We are not a law firm, we do not give legal advice, and nobody at Zempo reads or checks your individual will. Separate Will Writer terms apply when you use it and are shown before you start.
We provide the tool with reasonable care and skill: the document follows the instructions you typed and confirmed, and the signing and registration guidance is based on the official sources named in the tool. We cannot promise that a will is valid, that a court or registry will accept it, that it suits your circumstances, or what its tax result will be. A legal adviser can check those for you.
You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter, for signing and witnessing or attesting the document in the way your chosen law requires, for registering it where needed, for cancelling earlier conflicting wills and for keeping it up to date.
Every account can build a will inventory and see readiness checks. Previewing, downloading and updating the document is included in Standard and higher plans or can be bought on its own for a fixed period shown before you pay. Court and registration fees are separate and are paid to the court. A document you have finalised stays available to download after a plan or purchase ends.
Islamic frameworks are offered only where the tool shows them as available. Any inheritance share the tool shows is an illustration for discussion with a qualified scholar and a legal adviser, not a ruling.
Your information and permissions
You retain your rights in the information and documents you provide. You give us a limited permission to host, process, reproduce and transmit them only as needed to provide, secure and support the requested service, subject to the Privacy Policy and applicable law.
That permission is not ownership of your documents or blanket permission to publish them, advertise with them or train general-purpose models on them. Any additional purpose requires its own lawful basis and any necessary notice and permission.
Only upload or share information you are authorised to use, and do not infringe another person’s privacy or intellectual-property rights. Remove unnecessary sensitive information where the feature does not need it.
Plans, billing and renewal
Before you buy, checkout must show the plan, included limits, price, currency, applicable taxes, billing period and whether it renews automatically. A free plan is subject to its displayed limits and is not an unlimited trial of every feature.
For a recurring plan, you authorise the charges and renewals disclosed at checkout until cancellation takes effect. A payment provider processes the payment under its applicable terms. Do not submit card details through support messages.
A one-off purchase, such as a will document, is a single payment for the access period shown at checkout. It does not renew. Access ends at the end of that period unless you buy again or move to a plan that includes it.
Price changes must be communicated before they apply to a future renewal, with any notice and cancellation rights required by law. We will not retrospectively change the price of a completed billing period.
The checkout page is the record of what you bought and what it cost. Our payment provider is named on it. If anything on the checkout page differs from these terms, the checkout page applies to that purchase.
Cancellation and refunds
You can request cancellation through the subscription controls available in your account or contact support if you cannot access them. The standard cancellation flow stops renewal at the end of the current billing period; the confirmation should show when paid access ends.
Cancelling renewal, deleting an account and withdrawing a privacy consent are different actions. Check the confirmation for each action; do not assume that simply ceasing to use the service cancels a subscription.
Any refund policy or change-of-plan adjustment must be disclosed before purchase. Statutory cancellation, cooling-off, service-quality and refund rights take priority. Nothing here imposes a blanket “no refunds” rule or waives those rights.
Any cancellation or refund rule specific to your country is shown before you pay. If you cannot find it, ask through the contact page before buying.
Use the service lawfully
Do not use Zempo for unlawful activity, upload malicious code, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with security or availability, impersonate others, or extract another person’s records without authority. Do not abuse usage limits or resell access without permission.
Zempo’s software, design and branding remain the property of their respective owners. Your access gives you a limited right to use the service for its intended purpose during your authorised use, not ownership of the software. Restrictions do not override rights the law expressly gives you, including applicable interoperability exceptions.
Availability, suspension and closure
The service may have outages, maintenance or errors; uninterrupted availability is not guaranteed. We remain responsible for obligations that the law or your plan places on us.
We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address a material breach, unpaid charges, security risk or legal requirement. Where lawful and practical, we will explain the reason, give reasonable notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue. Urgent action may be needed to protect people or systems.
If we discontinue the service or terminate access other than for an urgent lawful reason, we will provide reasonable notice and a reasonable opportunity to obtain your records, subject to legal restrictions and other people’s rights. Applicable refund and other mandatory rights remain available.
Deletion and any lawful retention follow the Privacy Policy; account closure is not an unlimited licence to retain your information.
Responsibility and limits
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including applicable consumer remedies, data-protection rights, liability for fraud, and any other non-excludable liability. Any limit below applies only to the extent permitted by the law governing the claim.
Subject to those protections, we do not warrant that third-party information or automated output is always accurate, that the service will be uninterrupted, or that using it will produce a particular financial result. General information does not transfer responsibility for your own investment or legal decisions to Zempo.
For claims that may lawfully be limited, our total liability is capped at the fees you paid Zempo for the service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses where the applicable law allows that exclusion. Neither limit applies to losses or remedies the law requires us to cover.
Questions, complaints and applicable law
Please use the contact or complaints page to raise a concern. We aim to resolve issues fairly. You do not have to complete an internal process before using a statutory remedy, contacting a regulator or bringing a claim where the law permits it.
These terms are governed by the law of the country where the company that runs Zempo is registered, and its courts have jurisdiction, except where the consumer law of the country you live in gives you the right to rely on that law or use those courts instead. These terms do not impose arbitration and do not waive collective remedies.
A choice of law or court must not deprive consumers of mandatory protections or access to courts they are entitled to under applicable law.
Changes and contact
Material changes to approved terms require appropriate advance notice and any agreement required by law. Changes are not retrospective. If you do not agree to a change, the notice must explain your options and any applicable cancellation or refund rights.
If a provision is unenforceable, it applies only to the extent the law permits, and the remaining provisions continue where legally possible. Not enforcing a provision immediately is not a permanent waiver.
Use the contact page for service or legal questions. A new version of these terms does not change the version you accepted earlier; we keep that record.
