Plan for access and recovery

Your files matter. So does your recovery plan.

Storage is one part of looking after important documents. Keep originals, check permissions and review how you would regain access.

  1. 01

    Check who has access

Review the access and sharing options shown for your mode and household. Do not assume every file is shared or every member has the same access.

  2. 02

Set up recovery before you need it

Review the options in DocuVault’s Access & recovery panel. Recovery depends on what you have set up; account recovery does not automatically restore vault access.

  3. 03

    Keep an independent copy

Keep originals or separate backups of essential documents. Storing a copy does not establish its legal validity or replace signing, witnessing or registration requirements.

Private Vault recovery depends on the keys and recovery options you have set up. Do not assume Zempo can restore access if these are lost.
